Our
delivery system
'direct from farm gate to your plate'
Yes we mean it, all of the fresh produce for sale in our shop is
delivered directly from the producer using their preferred method
of delivery.
You will, as a customer, find that different producers use different
ways to get their produce to you, most will be be fast, some may
be
slower. This is all part of the fun of buying direct from the producer!
It follows that if you purchase more than one item you can expect
more than one delivery and this may arrive in the post or by carrier.
If the item is of a perishable nature a responsible adult will need
to be available to sign for the consignment.
Home delivery is the easiest link to break in the Internet purchasing
chain and unlike most Internet companies tasteofengland.co.uk
will not try to convince you that everything works perfectly all
of the time because sometimes breakdowns and holdups do occur, thats
life. What we will guarantee however, is that if something does
go wrong we will fix it quickly and efficiently.
If you're not happy, let us know and we will immediately contact
the producer and then get back to you, preferably by email, with
a report on the cause and a suggestion for the solution. We may
put you in direct contact with the producer to achieve the speediest
response.

tasteofengland.co.uk
are working closely with a large number of producers and a few delivery
companies to ensure that we can offer the best service and price
combination available.
Some delivery companies such as Interlink are working very hard
and investing vast amounts of money, time and effort into improving
their services to meet the needs of the small producers that tasteofengland
use. Other companies are not not doing so well and consequently
mistakes can happen.
tasteofengland.co.uk
make recommendations to their producer friends and help them to
improve their service where possible but do not dictate which carriers
a producer uses.
We select our producers with the utmost care, part of their contract
with us stipulates that they will develop efficient, high quality
packaging and delivery systems
New ways to deliver food direct to customers are emerging all the
time in response to the changing face of retailing. Delivery companies
are starting to offer evening deliveries; packaging technology will
soon enable fresh and frozen produce to be delivered in perfect
condition up to 48 hours from packing; small groups of producers
are coming together in co-operative schemes to allow more efficient
delivery. As these new developments are introduced home delivery
systems are becoming very much more efficient and cost effective.
